Don’t tell me it’s too early. I’ve had it with skeletons and witches’ brews. In about ten days, we’ll all be looking toward that season of seasons: Christmas!
If your church is looking for a five minute skit for an upcoming Christmas program, I wrote this one for our youth group last year and the youth did an amazing job performing it. It has parts for 10 people, which is perfect if you have a lot of kids who want to participate, but don’t want to memorize too much. It could also work for kids aged 8-10.
The theme is the true meaning of the golden rule, and special supplies include:
- wrapped gifts
- a gavel
- large teddy bear and tiny plush bear
- ugly figurine, tall enough to be seen by the audience (I got mine at Goodwill)
- indoor snowballs (Amazon sells these)
- pair of binoculars
- large fake box of candy (I decorated a rectangular gift box to look like a box of candy and put a few dried beans inside to rattle like candy)
Merry Christmas!
